Tassie here we come ......

28th-31st January 2017

The day had finally arrived, we were off to Tassie.   We had a good run up from Wonthaggi and arrived at the port at 5.30pm, to early to board.  We found a spot in the back streets to wait.  We finally boarded at 7.30pm after a half hour wait out on the end of the docks.

We had a smooth sail over and arrived into Devonport at 7am.  Luckily we were one of the first vehicles off and beat the rush.  Heading for Launceston we took the scenic route stopping at Brady's Lookout for breakfast with a stunning view over the Tamar River.

We settled into Old Mac's Farm on the outskirts of Launceston.  A great place to stay, $10 p/n and centrally located to explore the city.

We spent the next couple of days in and around Launceston.  We had a lovely day at Cataract Gorge, doing the walk up the gorge then across the huge suspension bridge and around the basin.
