What a beautiful morning, we got away early from Waratah heading for Cradle Mountain. The carpark at the visitors centre was fairly empty so we got a good park with the caravan. Packed a picnic lunch and thermos, then onto the shuttle bus up to Dove Lake. There was some cloud over the mountain when we started the walk but it slowly cleared. It was a good walk around the lake, with spectacular vistas all the way.
We returned via the shuttle bus, spotted a tiger snake crossing the road on the way back. Glad I was in the bus! We left Cradle Mountain heading south west to Strahan via Zeehan. Arrived into Strahan mid afternoon and set up camp at the golf course campground. Whizzed into town and booked our tickets for the Gordon River tomorrow.
